Assetlink is launching an exciting new venture and is seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead operations at a brand new, purpose built facility currently under construction.
This flagship venue will operate in collaboration and partnership with the NSW Government and will host a range of events and functions. We are looking for a confident operational leader who can deliver hotel level standards at scale while managing a large, diverse workforce in a highly visible and high profile environment.
As Venue Manager, you will take full operational ownership of the site, leading a team of more than 50 cleaning and housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional presentation and service standards across all events and daily operations.
From pre opening setup through to live event delivery, you will be responsible for building the team, implementing structured housekeeping systems, and ensuring seamless execution before, during, and after events. This is a hands on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in high volume, high expectation environments and understands the importance of working within government partnership frameworks.
• Lead, manage and inspire a workforce of more than 50 cleaning and housekeeping team members
• Recruit, train and develop staff to meet premium, hotel standard presentation expectations
• Oversee operational readiness for events, including pre event setup and post event turnaround
• Implement quality assurance processes, inspections and service standards
• Manage workforce planning, rosters, productivity and performance
• Work closely with stakeholders, contractors and government representatives during the final construction and commissioning phase
• Drive a strong culture of accountability, safety and service excellence
• Minimum 5 years experience in hotel operations, ideally in a senior housekeeping, rooms division, or operations leadership role
• Proven experience managing large teams of more than 50 staff in fast paced environments
• Experience working within government, public sector, or highly regulated environments will be highly regarded
• Strong background in event based or high volume service environments
• Experience in pre opening or newly launched venues highly regarded
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
• A confident, resilient leader who can remain calm under pressure
• Lead operations for a brand new, flagship venue
