About the Role
As the Security Services Supervisor at our Airport West retail site, you will lead a high-performing security team responsible for creating a safe, secure and welcoming environment for customers, retailers, contractors and visitors.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll balance operational excellence with people leadership, working closely with both the client and Assetlink management to deliver exceptional service outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
As Security Services Supervisor, you will:
- Lead, coach, mentor and support a team of Security Officers to achieve outstanding performance
- Foster a positive team culture focused on professionalism, accountability and customer service
- Manage daily security operations to ensure the highest standards of safety and service delivery
- Build strong relationships with centre management, retailers, contractors and key stakeholders
- Liaise with Victoria Police, emergency services and external agencies when required
- Coordinate responses to incidents, emergencies, alarms and evacuations
- Perform Chief Warden duties during emergency situations
- Manage the Control Room, including CCTV monitoring, access control, radio communications and incident coordination
- Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, complaints and security-related matters
- Manage labour costs through effective roster planning, leave management and overtime control
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements and legislative obligations
- Drive continuous improvement across safety, operational performance and customer experience
About You
You're an experienced security professional who enjoys leading people, solving problems and building strong client relationships.
To be successful you'll have:
- Previous experience leading or supervising security teams
- Experience within retail security environments
- Experience working around licensed venues (highly regarded)
- Current Victorian Security Licence (Certificate II)
- Current Advanced First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership, coaching and performance management capability
- Outstanding customer service skills
- High-level conflict resolution and decision-making abilities
- Professional presentation and attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy and incident reporting experience
- Ability to work a flexible roster, including evenings and weekends where required
- A current driver's licence and reliable transport
