The Role:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Security Service Manager to join our team at the Macquarie Centre. The position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation and performance of the site and will provide visible leadership, direction and support to ensure efficiency and effectiveness are maintained at a consistent level.

The successful applicant must demonstrate significant security management and client liaison experience.

Key Responsibilities:

To be considered for an opportunity with Assetlink Services, you must be able to demonstrate that you have the skills, experience & appropriate certification within the following areas:

  • Working closely with other site and regional managers to achieve a high level of client satisfaction
  • Coaching, mentoring supporting and performance management of security team members with the objective of building a high-performing team
  • Liaising with local Law Enforcement Authorities and other identified stakeholders in relation to security issues, as they impact the Centre and its surroundings
  • Production of monthly reports and KPI scorecards in line with client and Assetlink requirements
  • Acting on any incidents/or injuries, near misses, equipment faults, complaints and information that is security related
  • Effectively managing labour costs such as rosters, leave and overtime to the agreed schedule as per the site’s P&L and company standard
  • Establishing systems, policies and procedures knowledge base designed to ensure consistently high service performance and seamless support is provided

To succeed in this role you will need:

  • Well-developed interpersonal communication, relationship building and management skills.
  • Previous security management or supervisory experience with an intimate understanding of emergency procedures
  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Proficient in the preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with key stakeholders
  • Current Security license with appropriate endorsements
  • Advanced First Aid / Advanced CPR and Resuscitation (Preferred)
  • Provision of after-hours assistance and emergency response for all security, operations and facility-related areas
  • Understanding and demonstrating the application of the Modern Security Award
  • High degree of technical proficiency in regard to MS Office and other applications as needed
  • Ability to conduct small group toolbox training sessions
