At Assetlink Village Services, we do more than manage mining villages, we create safe, welcoming, and professionally operated environments where people feel supported while working away from home. Since expanding into the Mining Sector in 2020, AVS has continued to grow across remote Australian locations, and we’re looking for experienced leaders who want to grow with us. From quality meals to professional hospitality services, our teams play an important role in the daily experience of every resident on site.

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Chefs to join our FIFO/BIBO team working across one of our mining village operations.

These are Full Time FIFO/BIBO opportunities ex Perth on an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, with potential for 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off arrangements.

About the Role

Working within a high-volume remote kitchen environment, you will be responsible for delivering quality meals and maintaining exceptional food safety and hygiene standards while contributing to a positive team culture.

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and delivering high-quality meals across breakfast, crib, dinner, and dessert service
  • Maintaining high standards of food presentation, cleanliness, and hygiene
  • Supporting kitchen operations in a high-volume remote environment
  • Ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety standards, and site procedures
  • Assisting with stock control, food storage, rotation, and minimising waste
  • Working collaboratively with kitchen and village teams to meet operational requirements
  • Contributing to a safe and positive workplace culture
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times
  • Flexibility to work across all shifts as required to support operational needs and village service delivery

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for reliable and motivated chefs with previous experience working in high-volume kitchens, ideally within remote or FIFO environments.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in high-volume catering or commercial kitchen operations
  • Experience preparing crib meals, desserts, and bulk catering services
  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and safe work practices
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a strong work ethic

Essential Requirements

  • Trade Certificate, Cert III or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Current National Police Clearance (within 6 months)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening (LABDAS)

Highly Regarded

  • Previous FIFO or remote site experience
  • Current WA C Class Driver’s Licence
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Experience in bulk catering or mining village operations
