AssetProjects is seeking an experienced Client & Operations Manager to support our Seniors Living operations across a broad NSW region. This engagement covers a regional span from the Central Coast up to Byron Bay, including inland Northern NSW. The ideal candidate will be based in the Newcastle region, which provides the most efficient access to the current project and client footprint.

This role is suited to an experienced operator who can provide regional operational support, client relationship management, and oversight of refurbishment, maintenance, and minor/Capital works projects across multiple live environments.

Key Responsibilities (Contractor Scope)

  • Manage and strengthen relationships with client representatives across the region.
  • Conduct site inspections, prepare scope documentation, capture measurements/photos, and assess risks and compliance requirements.
  • Review and validate quotes to ensure accuracy, alignment with scope, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Support project start-up by setting expectations, quality standards, hold points (including waterproofing compliance), and site requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, conduct inspections, verify quality standards, support defect rectification, and assist with handover activities.
  • Identify and scope minor/Capital works opportunities, prepare rapid quotes, and support the development of regional work pipelines.
  • Provide escalation support and technical guidance to regional teams to maintain consistency in safety, quality, and documentation standards.
  • Conduct periodic safety and quality audits, contribute to incident reviews, and provide coaching to strengthen regional performance.

About you:

  • Strong experience in operations management, project oversight, refurbishment, or fit-out environments
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships across multiple sites
  • Solid technical knowledge of building works, codes, and Australian Standards (including AS 3740)
  • Ability to independently prepare scopes, quotes, and cost estimates
  • Strong WHS understanding and experience working in live/occupied environments
  • Current White Card, valid driver’s licence, and reliable vehicle
  • Operating under your own ABN and able to invoice for services
  • Qualifications in Building & Construction, experience in seniors living/healthcare, ICAM training, or waterproofing inspection experience (Desirable)
