We are thrilled to be launching our operations at Wellington Airport and are looking for an experienced Cleaning Services Manager to lead our team. If you are passionate about maintaining high standards, driving operational efficiency, and fostering a strong team culture, this role is for you!

About the Role

As a Cleaning Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily cleaning operations, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for staff and travelers. You will lead a dedicated cleaning team, maintain strong client relationships, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Organise, control and coordinate the operational management of the site to ensure efficient delivery of Assetlink’s cleaning contract
  • Communicate effectively with the client, passengers, customers, airport stakeholders and their staff
  • Build and manage strong relationships with all Wellington Airport stakeholders
  • Manage cleaning staff rosters 
  • Prepare safety and operational audits
  • Provide regular machinery assessments
  • Manage site Subcontractors and arrange periodical work
  • Create and sustain a safe and productive environment for all
  • Lead and develop the on-site team
  • Prepare regular reports and analysis of business achievements

You will have

  • Commercial cleaning experience, ideally with multiple types of equipment and machinery
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience of large teams, including performance management
  • Experience in large retail environment - advantage
  • Impeccable communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to resolve issues calmly and professionally
  • Outstanding problem solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Exceptional time management, organisational and effective trouble shooting skills
  • Positive and engaging manner with all stakeholders, strong customer service orientation
  • Previous hands-on and formal staff training experience - ideal
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint – essential
  • Tertiary education preferred (not mandatory) or relevant work-related experience – ideal
  • Current and valid drivers licence
